Butter Pound Cake |
Servings:18 (1 serving = 1 slice) |
Ingredients
| 1 box yellow cake mix |
| 1/3 cup sugar |
| 1 block butter, softened (½ cup) |
| 1 cup (8 oz.) Meadow Gold Sour Cream |
| 4 eggs, slightly beaten |
| 1/3 cup salad oil |
Preparation

Blend cake mix, sugar, and butter. Add sour cream, then eggs. Add oil last. Blend well. Pour into greased and floured pans only 1/3 to 1/2 full. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.

Test for doneness by inserting a toothpick in the center of the cake. If it comes out with batter sticking to it, bake longer. If toothpick comes out clean, cake is done. Cool before cutting.

Yield: 2 large loaf pans or 4 small loaf pans.
